Fred and Kathleen Vinton have been supporting St. Luke's Children's and Cancer Services with a generous annual gift since 2013. Each year, without fail, they give back through their IRA.
Helping children is important to them. When they moved to Idaho from Washington eight years ago, they knew they wanted to help the Children's Hospital. "We have a grand daughter who was born in Seattle with a heart problem, she is now a thriving teenager, so that inspired us to want to help other children."
When asked why giving through their IRA was a convenient option, they gave a clear reason: "We are over 70, so we need to take money out each year. That is when we give to charity. We give to several organizations at that time, Luke's being one." Why Luke's? "Our son-in-law was a physician there and connected us with St. Luke's. Ever since we moved here, we have received good care from St. Luke's."
Need to give back and good care? Those sound-like good reasons to us too. Thank you, Fred and Kathleen, for your support through your IRA!
